Sunday was Turn Back the Clock Day in Vancouver. Or at least with Blake Griffin in town, it was Knock the Clock Backward Day.
Griffin’s Los Angeles Clippers were in town to take on the Toronto Raptors in a preseason game, and in the pregame layup line, the all-star forward proved that his dunking prowess was in midseason form. He followed a miss with a two-handed jam, causing one of the shot clocks at Rogers Arena to topple backward.
Sunday marked the first time the Clippers played any sort of NBA game in Vancouver since April 2001, when the city was still home to the Grizzlies. Next up for Los Angeles is a pair of games against Charlotte in China, so Griffin will have yet another country in which to wreak havoc.
